In this age we face various trials and tests of faith. How we respond to trying situations can make a difference in growing up to spiritual maturity with overcoming faith. The information provided in this article is designed to help you mature through trials, rather than becoming overwhelmed by them. It is easy to say we already have all we need in Christ, and that there is no process of growing into sonship, which is true in spirit. But such teachings do not help the children of God face the contradiction of their faith in this age in this flesh.
When we consider exercising the measure given to us, as in part 3.0, and the principle of “use it or loose it,” some may view this as contradictory with the grace message, that we gain with no effort of our own. We need to recognize that some things are given freely and need no tending, and other things are given but require our exercise to increase to the fullest.
If you have been spending much time gaining knowledge but have not been manifesting as a maturing son of God, this article is for you, and will launch you into putting the knowledge of the Kingdom you have gained into action by faith; but it requires your participation!

I want to take a different approach than what those books have said. In the first article titled “How To Discern False Doctrine” we looked at two primary aspects of God’s plan for mankind that false doctrine attempts to lead people away from; namely the full grace (unmerited favor) God shows man and communion (intimate knowledge of and fellowship with) God. Let us build on this foundation and learn to become adept at distinguishing true doctrine of Christ.
I have perceived that there is concern and even fear among many Christians concerning false doctrines, and their spread among Christians. Though I do not believe it correct to fear such, I understand the reason for concern, and am concerned myself. We should all be concerned about false doctrines spreading, if we love the truth.
It is absolutely necessary for our development in Christ that we face this cross. This is not to be confused with coming to the cross to receive initial salvation, the new life of the spirit and the washing away of iniquity by the Blood that was shed for us. We initially come to the cross only to receive, by faith, the finished work of the cross.
The next phase of the crooked tree’s reformation is fire; the fire of God, the baptism of fire. We have to go through the fire to be refined!
