By Faith

By Faith, so much is expressed in two words!

Heb 11:1 And belief is the substance of what is expected, the proof of what is not seen.
Heb 11:2 For by this the elders obtained witness.
Heb 11:3 By belief, we understand that the ages were prepared by the word of Elohim, so that what is seen was not made of what is visible.

And we can go on to read in Hebrews 11 what those with faith in God did and received.

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.
Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with Elohim.
Joh 1:3 All came to be through Him,1 and without Him not even one came to be that came to be. Footnote: 1Eph. 3:9, Col. 1:16, Heb. 1:2, Heb. 11:3, 2 Peter 3:5, Ps. 33:6.
Joh 1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Col 1:16 Because in Him were created all that are in the heavens and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or rulerships or principalities or authorities – all have been created through Him and for Him.
Col 1:17 And He is before all, and in Him all hold together.
Col 1:18 And He is the Head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, that He might become the One who is first in all.
Col 1:19 Because in Him all the completeness was well pleased to dwell,
Col 1:20 and through Him to completely restore to favour all unto Himself, whether on earth or in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of His stake.

Mar 5:30 And immediately יהושע, knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My garments?”
Mar 5:31 And His taught ones said to Him, “You see the crowd is thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”
Mar 5:32 And He was looking around to see her who did this.
Mar 5:33 And the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what was done to her, came and fell down before Him and spoke to Him all the truth.
Mar 5:34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your belief has healed you. Go in peace, and be relieved from your affliction.”

Here we see the woman afflicted with the issue of blood partaking of the New Covenant, the New Covenant was in the flesh before her. What does it mean her faith healed her? She had faith He was Messiah and that He could heal her. Seeing Messiah walking in the New Covenant she believed in and relied on Him, thus she was adopted into the Family of God.

Joh 8:11 And she said, “No one, Master.” And יהושע said to her, “Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.”1 Footnote: 1See also John 5:14, Rom. 6:16-20, 1 Cor. 15:34, 1 Peter 2:24, 1 Peter 4:1-2, 1 John 3:4-10, 1 John 5:18.
Joh 8:12 Therefore יהושע spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall by no means walk in darkness, but possess the light of life.”1 Footnote: 1 See 11:9-10.

She was forgiven because she believed in the one who could forgive and heal her sin. He told her go and sin no more, because she no longer had to be a slave to sin because she could walk in the light of the New Covenant way. She could posses the light of life.

Phi 4:11 Not that I speak concerning need, for I have learned to be content in whatever state I am.
Phi 4:12 I know what it is to be humbled, and I know what it is to have in excess. In any and every situation I have learned both to be filled, and to be hungry, both to have in excess, and to be in need.
Phi 4:13 I have strength to do all, through Messiah1 who empowers me. Footnote: 1John 15:5, 2 Cor. 3:5-6, 2 Cor. 12:9, Eph. 3:20, Philip. 2:13, Heb. 13:20-21, 1 John 4:4.
Phi 4:14 Yet you did well in sharing in my pressure.

What is it to have faith, it is to believe in Elohim, that He exists and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him:
Heb 11:6 But without belief it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Elohim has to believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him.

You believe He exists and that He can do and does what He Promises, as His names reveal who He is and what He does. To believe that God is who empowers you is to rely on what God can do and not what you can do for or to please Him, and what pleases Him is your allowance of Him by faith and trust to work in and through you. Without faith it is impossible to please Him because without faith in Him you can not submit to Him working through you. Not placing faith or trust in God is equivalent to placing faith in yourself and what you can or can not do, and there is no way to serve, please, or allow Him to work through you if that is what you believe.

Amp Bible explains faith as relying on, trusting, and leaning the entire human personality on God. I think that is a good description.
"If anyone wants to come after me, let him say 'No' to himself, take up his execution stake, and keep following me."
