Time for Revolution

We are in the midst of a revolution, and most do not even realize it.

The definition of revolution that is being referred to is this, as found in the Merriam-Webster online dictionary: d: a fundamental change in the way of thinking about or visualizing something : a change of paradigm

It is time for a change of paradigm among Christians! For too long the focus has been on what man can do without God. A Chinese Christian visiting the United States commented on how amazing it is what Americans can do without God. The western churches have relied far too much on natural human ability.

Man’s programs cannot make disciples of Christ who overcome! They cannot build the Kingdom of God on earth as in heaven. Local church growth strategy as thought up by men has to take a back seat to Kingdom growth that truly impacts communities in the name of Christ. This can only be done with empowerment by the Holy Spirit, as promises and commanded in Acts 1:8.

We must expect to lead people to such a conviction of heart and such a stirring up within, that they truly choose Jesus as Lord, and become children of God, by being born of the Holy Spirit. For too long, even the evangelical churches have been satisfied with mental conversions after a programmed prayer. Many of us came to be born of the Spirit through such methods, but because of God’s grace, not because those programs are really how we should conduct ourselves to be fruitful for the Kingdom.

A new generation is rising up that does not bow down to sacred cows of religious tradition or man’s ideas of righteousness and holiness through religious works added by men. We do not want to be white-washed tombs or hypocrites. We want to be real and genuine, and humble about our current state of being as we grow in Christ and are molded by our Potter.

We want reformation of the church so it becomes the spiritual lighthouse and hospital it should be. We want to come together and know we can confess our faults and be healed as it is written in James 5:16.

We have had enough of going through the motions with the older generations, and playing church. We cannot tolerate the boredom of playing church. We desire a passionate love walk with the Lord. We desire to be in the exciting adventure with Jesus as Lord as Spirit-filled people, overcoming sin, the world, and Satan.

We do not want gimmicks or glittering prophesies that tickle our ears. We want to the know the Truth and have him make us free. We do not want to hear the numerous interpretations of men who think they know what the Scripture means about something, without having experienced it and walked it out in their own lives. We want to experience the Word and learn from those who have experienced what they teach and preach.

We are a radical generation prepared for such a time as this. Though we are extreme in our passion and desire for God and his true ways, we cannot abide in extreme doctrine that gets out of balance and pulls people from the narrow way of Life, or puts Christians in bondage. We cannot tolerate legalistic religion of men, nor lawlessness of those who justify continued sinning.

We dare to actually believe the promises of the covenant. We dare to actually believe God is still God, able and willing to do all of the great and mighty acts he has done through men on earth before. We believe. We are motivated by our faith, and not what we see, hear, taste, smell, or touch. Our faith is developed by the Word of God, and we listen to his Voice.

We dream big and we know our God is able to do all he has said he will do. We know nothing is impossible for God, or those who abide in his Word. We can do all things through him who strengthens us! We will revolutionize Christianity, and we will see the earth covered with the glory of God!
